Wednesday Music School

Wednesday Music School is based at Cheam Park Farm Junior School, Kingston Avenue, North Cheam SM3 9UE. Lessons take place on Wednesday evenings with tuition offered on violin, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone and trumpet. Pupils receive a 25 minute instrumental lesson with a specialist teacher, supported by theory tuition - pupils are also eligible to attend aural lessons at our Saturday Music School. Lessons are subsidised and cost £66 per term with an additional charge of £32 for instrument hire. All pupils are required to join a Sutton Music Service band or orchestra after a period of two to three terms' tuition or when their teacher feels they have reached an appropriate level of ability.

Wednesday Music School is organised by Sarah Maxwell, Lead Tutor for Wednesday Music School, and our tutors are Jonathan Bayley, Dave Holland, Arianne Alexander, Phil Aslangul, Hannah Schofield, Davina Shum, Ruth Holland, Laura Beardsmore, Amanda Lakin, Sue Bishop, Adie Starbuck, Cameron Todd, Paul Martin, Colin McIlhagga and Chrissie Ranson-Thompson.

Due to overwhelming demand, we are not currently accepting applications for violin lessons, but please complete an application form should you wish to be considered for a place at Wednesday Music School on any other instrument.

Saturday Music School

Saturday Music School is based at Cheam Park Farm Junior School, Kingston Avenue, North Cheam SM3 9UE. Lessons take place on Saturday mornings with tuition offered on viola, double bass, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trombone, baritone/euphonium, tuba and percussion. Pupils receive a 25 minute instrumental lesson with a specialist teacher, supported by theory and aural tuition. Lessons are subsidised and cost £66 per term with an additional charge of £32 for instrument hire. All pupils are required to join a Sutton Music Service band or orchestra after a period of two to three terms' tuition or when their teacher feels they have reached an appropriate level of ability.

Saturday Music School is organised by Hannah Keohane, Senior Leader, and our tutors are David Brooker, Dave Holland, Jonathan Bayley, Richard Lines-Davies, Massimo Roman, Tom Hardy, Chrissie Ranson-Thompson, Gillian Jones, Roger Willey, Richard Cross, Steve Calow, Helen Burgess, Ruth Holland and Stephen Matthews.
